Congratulations Dr. Sam Brody! Through the National Science Foundation (NSF)-Partnerships of International Research & Education (PIRE), the Flood Risk Reduction Program (FRRP) was awarded $3.6 million over five years to investigate flood risk, community vulnerability, and flood mitigation in Texas and the Netherlands. The FRRP will fund faculty from the disciplines of architecture, planning, engineering, and economics at Texas A&M University at Galveston, Jackson State University, Rice University and the University of Houston. As an extension of existing partnership with researchers at TU Delft, it will also provide opportunities for students from these universities to participate in site-based research in the Netherlands.
