Rice University's Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, in conjunction with the International Center for Natural Hazards and Disaster Research at the University of Oklahoma, the Texas Medical Center, and the Rice University Energy and Environmental Systems Institute, present a National Symposium on Mitigating Severe Weather Impacts in Urban Areas in Houston, Texas, April 15-17, 2002.

The International Joint Committee on Urban Storm Drainage of the IWA and the IAHR, in conjunction with the American Society of Civil Engineers - Environmental and Water Resources Institute (EWRI) present the Ninth International Conference on Urban Storm Drainage.
